About The Position

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a regional hunter responsible for generating new business and high-value project opportunities. This role focuses on acquiring new logos, developing multi-location projects, and creating pipeline for branches to execute. BDMs work closely with manufacturers, integrators, and branch teams but do not manage day-to-day branch accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5–10 years in regional/territory sales with strong hunter skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Standard office environment with occasional branch visits
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Some travel and occasional evening/weekend work (<10%)

Responsibilities

  • New Logo Acquisition
  • Target and win new dealers, integrators, resellers, and end users
  • Build a strategic pipeline of multi-location opportunities for branch fulfillment
  • Project Development
  • Identify and nurture large construction, security, and technology projects
  • Drive manufacturer registration and opportunity tracking
  • Manufacturer Alignment
  • Conduct joint field visits, trainings, demos, and roadshows
  • Funnel manufacturer leads and registered opportunities into CRM
  • Branch Integration
  • Collaborate weekly with branch managers to pass opportunities and align on pricing/project timelines
  • CRM & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data
  • Log all interactions and provide monthly reporting
  • Regional Strategy
  • Analyze territory potential and run quarterly territory business reviews
