Business Development Manager You will be aligned with the Automated Systems Division within JBT Marel Corporation specializing in Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). At JBT Marel, we use innovative technology, years of experience, and a global support system to provide customers with the right solution across their facilities. Trusting us means leveraging the largest team of AGV experts in the world. We’re dedicated to the AGV industry and have been since the mid-1980s. The Business Development Manager, plays a critical role in helping JBT Marel and its customers achieve their goals. They are responsible for growing the business in their vertical, focusing on the automotive manufacturing industry. This includes owning the development of an industry sales plan, account plans, and the associated strategies and tactics to achieve orders and profitability goals. The Business Development Manager reporting to the Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability for JBT Marel Corporation. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and building strong relationships with potential clients and partners, specifically in the Pharmaceutical sector.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role. Preferably in the Pharmaceutical sector
  • Understanding and in-depth knowledge of global logistics and production within the pharmaceutical sector
  • Proven contact and relationship with major pharmaceutical companies
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Analyze competitors and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans and strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting:
  • Identify and qualify potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track and manage leads and opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Strategic Partnerships:
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances to expand business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners to maximize mutual benefits.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve business development goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product management to ensure alignment of product offerings with market needs.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of solutions.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed reports on business development activities, including lead generation, sales performance, and market analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and achievements.
