About The Position

Global Asset is looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to source organizations with large volumes of used or surplus IT equipment. This role focuses on building new relationships, identifying buyback and resale opportunities, and helping clients maximize the value of their retired devices. Ideal candidates will have experience in B2B sales, preferably in IT, technology services, hardware resale, or a similar industry, and be comfortable running a high-volume outbound pipeline. Candidates located in the DFW or Carrollton area are preferred, since they will be closer to our main operations, but strong applicants in San Antonio or Houston will also be considered. The role offers a mix of remote work and regional travel within Texas as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven B2B sales experience (IT, hardware resale, logistics, or technology services preferred)
  • Knowledge of common IT hardware categories (laptops, desktops, servers, networking gear)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a high-activity outbound pipeline independently
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Ability to travel regionally for client visits, trade shows, or pickups as needed
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through
  • Self-starter with strong organization and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in IT sales, IT asset resale, or technology procurement
  • Understanding of general hardware lifecycle concepts
  • Experience selling into corporate IT, government, or healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Identify companies with surplus, end-of-life, or decommissioned IT equipment (for example Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, servers, data center, networking and storage)
  • Conduct outreach through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, and industry events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IT directors, CIOs, procurement teams, asset managers, and sustainability leaders
  • Understand client needs and present Global Asset’s buyback and revenue-share programs
  • Obtain asset lists, condition details, and volume estimates to support pricing evaluations
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, resale value ranges, and settlement terms
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal development, follow-up, and closing
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and pipeline progression in the CRM
  • Track general trends in IT hardware resale and market pricing
  • Represent Global Asset professionally during client calls, virtual meetings, and site visits
