About The Position

The Business Development Lead is a strategic, motivated leader who strengthens Array’s market position by cultivating relationships, shaping pursuit strategy, and translating client needs into opportunities across the firm. This high-visibility role partners closely with Array’s Executive Team, Regional Vice Presidents, Practice Area Leaders, and Marketing — driving conversations, aligning subject matter experts, and connecting firm capabilities and message to client goals with clarity and purpose. Strategic Business Development & Market Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to firm and regional leadership, connecting market intelligence, client insight, and competitive positioning to Array’s growth strategy. Facilitate conversations with clients and prospects to identify needs, uncover opportunities, and articulate Array’s relevance and strengths. Develop new and strengthen existing BD strategy rooted in healthcare market awareness and Array’s differentiators, translating it into actionable regional plans that support RVP growth efforts. Maintain a firmwide view of trends to anticipate client needs and identify strategic targets. Pursuit Leadership & Pipeline Management Facilitate weekly Go/No-Go meetings to mature opportunity narratives, validate client intelligence, and align pursuit teams. Maintain accurate, insight-driven pursuit data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM to support forecasting and decision-making. Partner with Marketing on proposal strategy, messaging, and differentiators to ensure alignment with regional goals. Help define themes and strategies. Manage priority pursuits and conduct competitive assessments to inform strategy. Marketing Strategy Partnership Collaborate with the Director of Creative Support Services to ensure BD and Marketing operate as a unified, market-informed engine. Shape marketing strategy and inform the MarCom calendar using insights from BD activity, client conversations, and pipeline trends. Ensure marketing efforts are targeted, proactive, and aligned with growth priorities. Internal Leadership, Collaboration & Enablement Orchestrate practice leaders and regional vice presidents to extract and organize subject matter expert insights for compelling pursuit stories, interview narratives, proposals, and collateral. Facilitate monthly Regional BD Huddles to review pursuits, set priorities, and coordinate philanthropic and industry engagement. Prepare and co-deliver monthly Leadership Huddle and Staff Meeting BD updates, covering sales metrics, wins/losses, pipelines, interviews, industry activity, and key relationship priorities. Provide monthly BD and sales insights to the Board of Directors using CRM and Power BI dashboards. Event Strategy & Philanthropy Management Manage philanthropic budget, sponsorships, and ROI tracking. Oversee planning for major conferences, including attendee strategy, sponsorships, logistics, and post-event debriefs. Ensure all events reinforce Array’s market presence and growth priorities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of business development, marketing, or strategic client management experience in the AEC, healthcare, or professional services sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership in both BD and marketing strategy.
  • Strong communicator and facilitator with demonstrated ability to lead conversations and translate insights into actionable opportunities.
  • Skilled collaborator comfortable guiding senior leaders and SMEs.
  • Strong strategic thinker and storyteller capable of shaping pursuit narratives and market messaging in collaboration with in-house writing and graphics specialists.
  • Experience tracking meaningful data (both quantitative and qualitative) and talent for interpreting it and communicating key insights to support decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
