General Summary: The Business Development Executive – MDU is responsible for driving growth of internet, voice, and video services within multi-dwelling unit (MDU) and HOA communities by identifying opportunities, building relationships with developers, property owners, and management companies, and securing bulk and exclusive service agreements. This role manages the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution, while collaborating with marketing, engineering, and project management teams to deliver tailored solutions and ensure successful post-sale implementation. The position also maintains a pipeline of opportunities, monitors take rates, provides sales forecasting and reporting, and consistently works to meet or exceed revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of property management, multi-dwelling unit (MDU), and HOA markets
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and partner relationship management tools
  • Understanding of internet, voice, and video service offerings, including fiber networks and technical solutions
  • Skilled in negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and Right of Entry (R.O.E.) arrangements
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients, property owners, developers, and internal teams
  • Skill in multiple communication methods, including oral, written, facilitation, and public speaking
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong decision-making abilities and investigative skills
  • Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand
  • Ability to remain highly adaptive, flexible, and shift strategies on short notice as environment dictates
  • Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail with little direction
  • Strong ability to manage and develop sales
  • Ability to prioritize and execute strategic plans
  • Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
  • 3 years’ experience in MDU, HOA, or telecom sales is required
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through sales, client relationship management, or business development in a B2B environment
  • Must be highly self-directed, competitive, and goal-oriented, with the ability to manage a full pipeline and multiple deals simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Executes sales strategies to drive growth within MDU and HOA markets through bulk, marketing, and retail agreements
  • Manages an assigned territory to identify prospects, generate leads, and secure new MDU agreements
  • Owns the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Secures Bulk and Right of Entry agreements with property owners, developers, and management companies
  • Delivers compelling presentations to property managers, boards, developers, and other decision-makers
  • Builds and maintains long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Partners cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, project management, construction, and installation teams to support successful deployments
  • Supports the launch of new MDU communities and ensures post-sale implementation aligns with negotiated expectations
  • Maintains accurate CRM records, sales funnels, forecasts, and activity reporting
  • Represents the company as a brand ambassador at community events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Stays informed on local market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments while achieving assigned sales objectives
  • Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required
  • Performs other related duties and projects assigned
