About The Position

We are seeking an ambitious, curious person to join the agency’s Business Development & Communications team as a Business Development Coordinator. This role will support the agency’s growth efforts and help continue to elevate Giant Spoon’s presence in the market. The Business Development & Communications team works closely with agency leadership to support both new and organic growth. As part of this team, you’ll help coordinate new business opportunities, support pitch operations, and assist in telling the holistic story of the agency. Based in New York City, this role will support the lifecycle of new business and pitch efforts, from introductory meetings through final presentations. You’ll work closely with internal teams across our integrated strategy, creative, media, and experiential departments and work with key stakeholders to help manage timelines, materials, and processes, ensuring pitches stay organized, aligned, and on track. You’ll also assist with maintaining agency-owned materials and platforms, including credentials, case studies, social media channels, newsletters, and more. This role works in a hybrid fashion with in-office work in our NYC office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • First experience in advertising, marketing, or communications industries, e.g. as part of an internship.
  • Strong business sense with a keen growth mindset and interest in learning about agency processes and client interaction
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience and comfort in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change
  • A clear and strong communicator who can build trust and confidence among clients and colleagues alike
  • Personable with high emotional intelligence, given the role requires interaction with leaders across Giant Spoon and external client partners
  • A thoughtful strategic thinker able to embrace and adapt the Giant Spoon narrative across mediums, channels, and opportunities
  • A passion for creativity and a strong sense of curiosity
  • Digitally connected, passionate about technology and innovation with an insatiable curiosity for how it applies to our industry
  • Familiarity with basic presentation design, Google Suite, Slack and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Assist with building and updating introductory credentials decks for new business opportunities
  • Support the preparation of RFIs/RFPs, pitch materials, and other new business deliverables
  • Conduct background research on inbound opportunities, categories, and competitors to support vetting and qualification
  • Maintain shared folders, trackers, and meeting notes to keep pitch workstreams organized and on track
  • Assist with resourcing coordination and content support for agency-owned channels, including social media and newsletters
  • Support updates to master case study documents, partnering with account teams to ensure strong writing, accuracy, and consistency
  • Maintain and update databases for new business prospecting, pitch consultants, and agency contacts
  • Help develop and manage pitch timelines in collaboration with the Business Development team & scheduling of all internal and external meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, creative, media, and leadership teams in a professional and proactive manner
