Description of Position The Associate will be responsible for supporting strategic investments and transactions to drive organic and inorganic growth for TPG. This is an opportunity to join a lean and entrepreneurial team with the mandate to acquire, create and grow strategically critical businesses for TPG through investments with a wide range of complexity and structures. This position will support the identification and evaluation of new investment and growth opportunities for TPG through private equity-style underwriting and transaction execution with a focus on financial services. Additionally, the role will offer a unique experience to invest across various transaction types including majority acquisitions, structured minority investments and strategic partnerships. The position is highly cross-functional and distinct from traditional private equity roles, with significant exposure to TPG’s executive office and collaboration with investment teams across the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and background in building complex financial models, conducting due diligence, drafting investment committee memos, researching company and industry trends, demonstrating excellent written and oral communication and supporting workstreams across all aspects of deal execution.
