OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology. Responsibilities and Duties OCT currently has an opening for a mid level data architect/developer to work with our federal client. You will work in a team that will be expected to provide support in the areas of change management and communications; strategic planning and analysis; business transformation and initiative management; process and performance improvement; and project management strategic planning, analysis, and governance. This position is contingent upon contract award. Day to day responsibilities include: ● Modernize and sustain the organization’s Microsoft-Access-based tools to improve structural integrity, performance, and long-term viability. ● Develop conceptual and logical data models for database assets. ● Map and streamline existing data-management workflows, recommend and implement efficiencies. ● Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data-analytics design. ● Execute targeted Structured Query Language (SQL), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Office and formatting updates to accommodate source-data changes and ad-hoc reporting needs. ● Provide day-to-day query support, data calls, and troubleshooting for PSC users. ● Support testing and performance measurement activities. ● Advise on software deployment. ● Update and maintain dashboards. ● Support projects in the area of change management and performance measurement, as needed. ● Ensure financial/controls compliance across projects. ● Integrate multi-system solutions. ● Deliver executive coaching as needed.
