The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data modeling, data transformation, data storage, and performance engineering - with a strong command of modern data integration, ETL/ELT tools, advanced SQL, and cloud‑ready architectures. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leaders, data engineers, and analytics teams to design and optimize data ecosystems that support regulatory compliance, analytics, reporting, and mission‑critical applications.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise‑level data architecture and data engineering.
  • Hands‑on expertise with: Informatica or Talend PostgreSQL / Oracle / Snowflake Power BI Advanced SQL Unix Shell Scripting
  • Strong experience with data modeling, data transformation, data storage, data archival, and performance engineering.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security frameworks.
  • Strong experience working in Agile, large‑scale data engineering, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Banking or financial services industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and governing end‑to‑end data architecture blueprints including ingestion, transformation, storage, and archival strategies.
  • Designing scalable, secure, and high‑performance data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Leading architectural decisions across structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data domains.
  • Ensuring data solutions adhere to enterprise standards, regulatory guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
  • Developing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica or Talend.
  • Designing highly optimized data flows to support downstream applications, analytics, and reporting.
  • Partnering with engineering teams to implement data transformation and data quality frameworks.
  • Architecting data solutions using PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake, including partitioning, indexing, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Establishing guidelines for data retention, archival, and lifecycle management.
  • Driving system performance engineering initiatives to reduce latency and improve scalability.
  • Supporting BI teams with Power BI data models, semantic layers, and optimized datasets.
  • Guiding teams to build efficient reporting solutions aligned with organizational KPIs.
  • Using Advanced SQL for data validation, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Leveraging Unix Shell Scripting for automation, orchestration, and data operations.
