About The Position

This role functions as the primary liaison that bridges the Analytics team with the Customer Success team. You will thoroughly comprehend business needs, translate these into precise analytical requirements, and facilitate the effective adoption of insights by end-users. Reporting to the Lead Data Analytics Consultant, this position acts as a crucial advocate for the business user to ensure analytics solutions are genuinely valuable, relevant, and widely adopted. As a senior-level contributor, you will work on complex issues where analyzing situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and will exercise independent judgment to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Foundational ability to write simple SQL statements to retrieve data for ad-hoc validation.
  • Familiarity with the key tables and fields within SQL Server and Snowflake databases.
  • Proficiency in various requirements gathering techniques such as interviewing, conducting workshops, prototyping, and writing documentation using Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
  • Expert proficiency in utilizing Excel for organizing and summarizing data, creating tables and charts, and preparing data-driven presentations.
  • Expert in navigating complex Power BI dashboards, including the use of slicers, filters, and drill-through features.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and testable user stories and requirements within JIRA.
  • Strong, in-depth understanding of customer success operations, the customer lifecycle, and key performance metrics.
  • Strong logical reasoning and critical thinking skills to formulate pertinent questions that uncover underlying business problems.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements with clarity and precision.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with hands‑on experience writing complex queries and working with large datasets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong data visualization expertise using tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with a demonstrated ability to transform data into actionable insights.

  • Experience working with insurance claims data or within the insurance industry.
  • Understand advanced data visualization techniques and principles beyond basic charting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive discovery sessions with Customer Success stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business processes, operational pain points, and specific information requirements.
  • Translate business insights into detailed, unambiguous analytical requirements, user stories, and functional specifications for the analytics team.
  • Act as the critical intermediary between Customer Success and Analytics to ensure solutions address defined business problems and technical complexities are communicated clearly.
  • Manage expectations on both business and technical sides while facilitating effective, bidirectional communication.
  • Conduct preliminary data exploration utilizing available tools like Excel and Power BI reports to assess data availability and quality.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to interpret the implications of analytical findings and articulate their precise business impact.
  • Drive the adoption and effective utilization of analytics dashboards and reports within the Customer Success organization through training and user guides.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize Customer Success processes proactively through the application of data-driven insights.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes, data definitions, report usage guidelines, and key performance indicators.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with Customer Success leaders and team members as a collaborative advisor.
