Overview In partnership with the Departmental Leadership - Dept of Pediatrics, the Business Data Analyst researches, analyzes, evaluates and assists with ongoing data analysis, reporting, and visualization needs within the Dept of Pediatrics. The Business Data Analyst will gather and interpret data from a variety of sources to help the organization make operational business decisions and support the physician practice. Gathers, creates, modifies and interprets data to create reports and visualizations as requested. The Business Data Analyst will interface with the enterprise Data Intelligence team as well as analysts from other departments in order to achieve operational goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience Experience in healthcare data management and information systems or HS diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years experience
  • Prior work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in Tableau/PowerBI skills, both in technical competency and design aptitude
  • Proficient in SQL skills
  • Proficient in Epic Cogito reporting functionality
  • Familiarity with data management and information systems
  • Ability to proactively anticipate the needs of stakeholders with limited guidance
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines for the volume of work expected without supervision
  • Ability to produce work that is accurate, reliable, neat, and adheres to reporting/compliance standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to discern data needs and convey technical information to others
