About The Position

Huntington Bank is seeking a Business Continuity Specialist to join our Enterprise Resilience team. The Specialist assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies and provides input to standards, processes, and procedures for ensuring continuity of its critical business functions. The incumbent participates in risk management analysis and assists with the creation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Works with business representatives and technology teams to develop and support testing processes to validate recovery plans and the overall resilience capabilities of the organization. Manages a repository of business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience material including plans and documentation that will be accessible in the event of service interruption or disaster.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years experience in resilience, and/or experience with Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Resilience Programs.
  • Experience with business resumption technologies, processes, and practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or operational field
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, such as tight time deadlines and business related crises.
  • Ability to negotiate win-win agreements with stakeholders in complex situations.
  • Agile project management knowledge and experience.
  • Certification as an Associate Business Continuity Planner (ABCP) or Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to develop business continuity strategies for critical business functions to achieve resilience in accordance with FFIEC guidelines.
  • Consult and provide guidance to business owners and technology teams to align current and future recovery strategies with enterprise resilience controls and standards.
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams on development of business continuity plans, technical recovery plans and other enterprise resilience documentation.
  • Review and evaluate plans against standards for quality, provide feedback for operational improvement and alignment with standards.
  • Participate in the development and review of standards and recommendations for policies to meet FFIEC guidelines and enterprise resilience objectives.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of awareness and training programs (including online training content) to staff on business continuity, technology recovery, and enterprise resilience topics.
  • Support annual business continuity and technology recovery testing and test documentation.
  • Collaborate with business partners and IT on the annual business impact analysis (BIA) process and risk analysis.
  • This role has an on call component and will potentially require colleague to participate in a 7/24/365 on-call or shift rotation(s) which could include occasional working weekends, off hours, and holidays
