Role Summary In this role, the Business Consultant will have Compliance Output responsibilities (ex. statements, confirms, tax forms, etc.) and be a primary contact between ACI business areas and key vendors such as SS&C (Transfer Agent)and Broadridge. You will also be responsible for managing, developing, maintaining, and improving vendor relationships within Operational Compliance. You will be responsible to lead and/or actively support operational issue resolution and development of new or improved system(s), products, and services. You will develop and enhance a network of business relationships inside and outside of American Century, maintain technical knowledge of Transfer Agency and/or Risk Mitigation systems, expand data analysis, and strong knowledge of the business area objectives to facilitate good business solutions and outcomes. This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City, MO office. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Crucial communication and task organization skills
  • Sophisticated skill in computer usage and the ability to type 30 WPM minimum
  • Ability to practice resiliency, flexibility, and relationship management

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Transfer Agency systems preferred.
  • Previous experience with Compliance Communications delivery (print and digital) preferred.
  • Previous experience managing vendor relationships preferred.
  • Mutual fund industry knowledge with Operations and/or Compliance experience preferred.
  • RIA and/or Broker Dealer industry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely execution and/or oversight that ensures Regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the relationship with assigned Business Areas.
  • Provide innovative problem solving/solutions that supports the firm by mitigating risk, controlling expense and/or enhancing the client experience.
  • Facilitate activities between business partners, Operational Compliance, IT partners, and vendors to maintain open channels of communication.
  • Support other company or department initiatives as assigned.
  • Execute and deliver capabilities.
  • Gather requirements, create current/future state workflows to identify opportunities for improvement or STOP activities.
  • Define and measure business value.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and draw practical conclusions from data.
  • Analytical, technical or project work requiring knowledge of fundamentals in the functional area.
