About The Position

DEUTZ is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative drive systems. Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications. Job Summary As Part of our Global IT team, the Business Applications Project Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the seamless implementation, smooth operation, and efficient use of our business applications (SAP) team supporting our operations (production/SCM) and field services network (SAP FSM, MS Dynamics); in collaboration with the global IT organization at our parent company DEUTZ AG.The Business Applications Project Specialist will manage major SAP-focused technology initiatives, overseeing projects from concept through final implementation. This role requires a deep proficiency in project management, and the ability to drive Agile and Scrum methodologies across complex, multi-workstream efforts. The position supports Agile execution while maintaining strong alignment with enterprise standards and strategic objectives. This role will support bridging the gap between the business needs of the users and the technical aspects of the applications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree IT, BA or related field
5 years of experience in supporting major business applications
3 years of experience in project management with multiple workstreams in an IT environment
Knowledge of SAP modules: MM/WM/PP, SS/FSM, FICO
Stay up to date on the latest SAP S/4 application trends and technologies.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Advanced knowledge of project management tools: JIRA/Azure DevOps/Confluence/KANBAN/Microsoft Project/Microsoft Power Point.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and IT capabilities.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP S/4HANA
Experience with a CRM application (SalesForce, MS Dynamics)
Project Management Certification(s)
Certifications Agile, Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe, ITIL
Experience in SAP/IT consulting

Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis
Creation and management of project plans, testing strategies and risk logs, traceability matrices
Coordination of functional, integration and use acceptance testing coordination between business partners and IT teams
Facilitation of cross-module collaboration across the entire SAP Landscape, including applications peripheral to SAP
Close partnership with internal SAP Application Analysts, Data Management, and Business stakeholders.
Clear communication and alignment within hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models.
Facilitation of Scrum meetings, stand-ups, requirements of workshops where needed.
Work with business stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to address application usage issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for business application configurations and procedures.
Analyze application usage data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
IT Project & Training Support
Support the IT project lifecycle from demand management, project meetings, data migration activities, testing, change management, go-live, and hyper-care.
Participate in and support initial training sessions and update training documents in collaboration with the local training department.
Maintenance and Support
Provide ongoing support to end users, including answering questions, resolving issues, and providing guidance on a project/program level.
Help document technical application issues reported by end users.
Coordinate regular application maintenance tasks with vendors and the Global IT, such as updates and security patches.
Participate in continuous improvement and Organizational Change Management activities
Document and maintain technical documentation for new and existing business applications and features.
