Box needs a Business Analytics Manager to own relationships with senior leaders across Sales and Marketing, driving analytical insights into business actions. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional technical skills, is passionate about data storytelling, and thrives in a challenging, entrepreneurial, yet supportive environment. This individual will deliver actionable insights to inform data-driven decisions on sales & marketing strategy and increase the efficiency of go-to-market operations.

Requirements

  • Be a "business thought partner" with a strong analytical mindset and enjoy finding ways to improve the business, using data analytics as the tool to prove suggestions.
  • Strong analytics skills, including 5+ years of experience in an analytics role.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik, Power BI, Looker, Domo, etc.), and a thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Proven as a trusted business partner with excellent communication skills, able to translate between technical and functional requirements.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to clarify questions and prioritize asks.
  • Strong business judgment, with the ability to take ambiguous business problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way.
  • Bachelor's in an analytical field (statistics, computer science, etc.)
  • Expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.

  • Strategy consulting experience or other client-facing professional services experience

Responsibilities

  • Help deliver a world class stakeholder experience by owning data requests from our go-to-market teams (sales and marketing organization)
  • Use analytics to answer questions about how our customers are buying our product, with the goal of improving sales, product adoption, and marketing ROI.
  • Own the roadmap and data integrity of our go-to-market insights reporting, identifying opportunities to build new dashboards and self-serve resources with the end goal of increasing data consumption and efficiency.
  • Test ideas, which includes 1) performing analytical deep-dives to identify problems, opportunities and actions required; 2) leveraging large amounts of disparate data sources by using SQL/Tableau and/or other scripting and statistical tools, and 3) designing and managing test/pilot programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with data engineers, product engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure we're delivering quality insights to the business.
