As a Business Analytics Consultant within PNC's Retail Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Birmingham, AL. Leverages analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit to create data driven solutions. Recommending appropriate performance measures to be produced including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics. Analyzing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions. Providing business clients with detailed, actionable reports documenting the findings from, data processing, and data analysis. Consulting on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitating implementation of new tools and data marts. Requirements

  • Proficient financial analytical skills like accounting, excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or similar coding languages.
  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Excel.
  • Problem-solving skills to break down complex coding issues and gaps.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Communication skills to explain ideas or work methods clearly, ask and answer questions productively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize SQL, SAS, or other coding languages to extract data for monthly reporting, business cases, ad hoc analyses, and data research support.
  • Modify existing code and develop original processes to meet evolving data needs.
  • Present data effectively using Tableau, Excel, and SQL, ensuring optimal performance with large datasets.
  • Collaborate with other data analysts and modelers in Finance and other departments, educating peers and making recommendations for data field inclusions.
  • Create dynamic financial modeling for business cases.
  • Look to streamline processes and improve scalability while implementing adequate controls and validation measures.
