As a Business Analytics Consultant, Sr. within PNC's Capital Markets Group, you can be based in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. The Fixed Income Business Analytics Consultant Sr. serves as the central product owner for the firm’s fixed income electronic trading platform. This role is responsible for maximizing the business value, revenue, and return on investment from electronic trading technologies. Acting as a key liaison between the trading desk, technology partners, vendors, and internal support teams, the consultant drives continuous improvement across people, processes, and systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost efficiency. ________________________________________ Job Description Leverages complex analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and useful applications across multiple functions or business units to create data driven solutions. Consulting to clients on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development. Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements. Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solutions for business leadership to enable data driven decision making. Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences. Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of the fixed income business and market structure
  • Experience with electronic trading platforms and workflows
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal functionality
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary product owner for fixed income electronic trading platforms, with a focus on optimizing trader and salesperson performance and revenue generation
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on system functionality and downstream trading processes, including configuration of system access, controls, and pricing rules
  • Oversee electronic trading platform governance, including entitlement management and control frameworks
  • Continuously assess and enhance electronic trading workflows, tools, and operating models
  • Interface with trading desks, system vendors, ECN/ATS providers, PNC MIS, and internal support teams (e.g., ETPM, Sourcing)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory, compliance, and audit inquiries related to electronic trading
  • Manage vendor relationships and control costs across all electronic trading technologies, including Bloomberg
  • Leverage strong fixed income business knowledge and technical skills (SQL, Python) to accelerate solution development and bridge the gap between business and technology
  • Stay current on industry trends, market structure changes, and electronic trading innovations
  • Support the COO with strategic initiatives, business cases, and analytical support as needed
