About The Position

One of Des Moines Register's 2022 top workplaces is looking to add another Business Analyst to its team. Iowa Bankers Association is one of the nation's top state-banking associations. However, looking closer you will see that Iowa Bankers is much more than a typical banking association . Iowa Bankers Mortgage is a leading mortgage originator in Iowa and servicer to nearly $10 billion in loans. Iowa Bankers Insurance and Services insures nearly 30,000 Iowa and Minnesota bank employees and their dependents. Located in Johnston, Iowa, the over 200 employees impact hundreds of local communities and countless families across the United States every day. Our IT Team works with the Association, Insurance, and Mortgage companies to provide a diverse set of solutions to their needs. As a business analyst, you will be the key interface between the business and IT departments on medium to large sized projects. You will create project scopes/requirements, coordinate projects with our in-house development staff, provide testing/QA, and evaluate solutions after deployment. The business analyst position will be responsible for maintaining tickets in Jira, as well as creating project documentation in Confluence. In addition, you will work with a senior business analyst to ensure consistency of templates and processes/procedures. This position will also perform Systems Analyst and Systems management of assigned systems. This position affords an excellent work/life balance by being mostly 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with a flexible need for extra time if projects dictate.

Requirements

5+ Years of Business Analyst Experience
Associates or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must live, or be willing to relocate, to work on-site at Johnston location 4 days per week

Nice To Haves

Experience with Jira and Confluence (or other project management software)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products
Experience providing Systems Analysis and Systems Management
CBAP/CCBA or other BA Certifications
