B&A is looking for a Business Analyst-Tester to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. The Business Analyst–Tester serves as a key member of an Agile development team, responsible for analyzing business processes, defining system requirements, and ensuring solution quality through rigorous testing. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for automation, translating business needs into testable user stories, and validating system enhancements against defined acceptance criteria. The position supports both new development and production systems while maintaining data security and stakeholder confidence in the Defender Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
  • A relevant professional certification, such as: PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), ISTQB Certified Tester, QAI Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Testing (ICE-AT)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Agile testing practices
  • Ability to validate functional and non-functional requirements through structured testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems in both development and production environments
  • US citizen, eligible for a government clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Function effectively within an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Identify, review, analyze, and evaluate business processes to improve efficiency through automation
  • Define system requirements by creating user stories that include clear, concise, and testable acceptance criteria
  • Ensure testing is completed and validated against acceptance criteria defined in user stories
  • Create and maintain system documentation in accordance with ITPM and Judiciary Agile Guidelines
  • Provide technical support and user training as required
  • Troubleshoot issues related to new enhancements and production systems
  • Support system data requests, including reporting and ad hoc queries
  • Protect and maintain the integrity, security, and confidentiality of Defender Program data
  • Uphold stakeholder confidence in the Defender Program through consistent quality and reliability
