About The Position

The Business Analyst Supervisor independently works and leads the Business Analyst Team to implement strategies for improvement through the use of our tools and systems. You will collect and analyze data for the business, providing better solutions, technology integration, systems improvements or business process modifications, and collaborate with Marco internal customers to participate in the definition of business requirements and assess available technologies. You will manage projects, communicating to all parties involved on a regular basis to meet project completion deadlines and assign qualified resources to each project. The Business Analyst Supervisor is a mentor to other BAs on the team and serves as a direct liaison between Leadership, the BA Manager and the BA Team, ensuring project priorities are in alignment with strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including decision-making, coaching of others, giving constructive feedback, and applying inclusion strategies.
  • Understanding of process flow.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills working with technical and non-technical people, and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time/task management skills – project management skills a plus.
  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Naturally curious – seek to understand the unknown, ask probing questions, and record detailed notes.
  • Proactive – seek to solve problems and remove obstacles, using resources who can assist when needed.
  • Technical aptitude with understanding of the co-relationship between technical tools and business process.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Industry recognized certifications on applications including Azure DevOps, e-Automate Suite, ConnectWise Suite, Microsoft Visio, O365, Salesforce.com,
  • Compass Sherpa or similar preferred. IIBA CBAP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision for the Business Analyst team members to include: Coach and train team members.
  • Be the first escalation point of contact to handle issues and involve manager as needed.
  • Monitor team coverage, oversee personal time off approval, make sure back-ups are in place, and redistribute work to cover when others are out.
  • Monitor staffing and equipment needs.
  • Conduct performance reviews and make compensation recommendations.
  • Lead the BA Team, serve as a mentor and coach by reviewing team member contributions, and make recommendations as needed.
  • Effectively document current state, through observation and interviews, with key stakeholders and primary end-users.
  • Gather requirements from end-users and other key stakeholders to establish the gaps between current state and future state.
  • Create business requirement documents (BRD) and obtain sign-off from key stakeholders, ensure scope of project is communicated and accepted.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst Team (BA), Business Intelligence Team (BI), Business Systems Analyst Team (BSA) and Developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Determine scope of projects, timing and prioritization with Leadership and BA Manager, ensuring project progress aligns with strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in capacity planning with BA Manager and Leadership.
  • Hold regular 1:1 sessions with each team member to provide support and remove obstacles.
  • Complete Performance Reviews for team members, approve PTO requests, and answer HR-related questions.
  • Facilitate team meetings.
  • Be responsible for gathering Return on Investment (ROI) and Knowledge Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to establish the success level of projects and provide this data to the BA Manager.
  • Participate in industry and application peer groups/advisory councils, Further education in Business Analysis certifications.
  • Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
