About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Business Analyst to support our Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, and Product Development teams. This role will focus on analyzing data from multiple sources, generating actionable insights, and providing strategic recommendations that drive business growth. The ideal candidate is highly analytical and can translate complex data into clear, impactful strategies in collaboration with various departments/verticals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data visualization).
  • Experience extracting and analyzing data from multiple sources; familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, CRM systems, or ERP platforms is a plus.
  • Proven ability to synthesize data into actionable insights/recommendations and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with e-commerce analytics and retail channel performance metrics.
  • Prior experience in consumer goods or related industries (pet products experience is a plus but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to support marketing efforts, sales performance, product development, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize product assortment, pricing strategies, and channel performance.
  • Demonstrates strong business intelligence skills, including the ability to design, interpret, and optimize dashboards and reports and monitor KPIs across verticals.
  • Able to understand data interfaces, source system structures, and end to end reporting workflows to ensure data accuracy and meaningful insights.
  • Partner with Marketing to evaluate campaign/channel effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Merchandising teams to identify retailer, consumer & market trends, assist with sales forecasts, improve product placement strategies and assortments, and support key account initiatives as needed.
  • Support Product Development with data-driven decisions on SKU rationalization, category and channel performance, new product opportunities, and market position.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Assist with sales/product forecasting and recommend product placement strategies in partnership with merchandising and sales.
  • Perform market research, including competitive pricing, by gathering information and making recommendations related to new and existing items, pricing, margin contribution and strategic initiatives.
  • Recommend product/pricing changes when they do not align with category/organizational growth.
  • Recommend updates, improvements or discontinuation of existing products based on changing market needs, product lifecycle indicators, and product performance data.
  • Will be an integral part of the DISCO/product lifecycle management process and SKU rationalization.
  • Establish various reports within or leveraging Netsuite in collaboration with verticals the role supports.
