About The Position

The Senior Business Analyst is a strategic partner who integrates business processes with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) expertise to support organizational decision-making. By combining insights from operations with in-depth financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, the analyst leads the analysis, design, and implementation of business processes and financial systems. This role requires strong analytical capabilities to assess complex business challenges and translate them into actionable financial and operational solutions. Working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the analyst gathers requirements, develops process improvements, and provides financial insights to optimize business processes, drive value creation, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CBAP) preferred.
  • Minium of 5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, financial planning & analysis, or a hybrid role combining both disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-past work environment.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with both business and finance teams to deliver impactful results.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and corporate finance principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business and finance stakeholders to understand operational and financial needs, documenting both functional and financial requirements.
  • Analyze and model complex business processes and financial data, identifying trends and opportunities for process optimization, cost savings, revenue growth, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business models, workflows, financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to support project, strategic, and organizational objectives.
  • Provide financial support to Operations by preparing bids forecasts and/or pricing sheets aimed at securing service contract(s) or product orders.
  • Collaborate with IT, accounting, project managers, and other cross-functional teams to translate business and financial requirements into technical and actionable specifications.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and insight to stakeholders.
  • Conduct gap analyses, impact assessments, and scenario modeling for proposed changes, ensuring alignment with both organizational strategy and financial targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics to track progress and support reporting cycles.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles, including budget preparation, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and cost optimization projects.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and other duties as needed to meet evolving business needs.
