Welldoc is looking for a qualified Business Analyst Intern to join our Product team. The internship will run approximately 4-6 months. Immediate start is available for approximately 20 hours per week with the possibility of increasing hours during the summer. This student intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment that delivers best in class mobile and digital health products.

Requirements

  • Basic Microsoft Office skill set (e.g. Excel spreadsheet)
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet required deadlines
  • Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either, prior experience working in those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (rising juniors and seniors) – Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Information Technology or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in capturing requirements and action items with external partners.
  • Review and edit requirements for consistency, grammar, and comprehension.
  • Work with a Business Analyst to create requirements to be delivered to the engineering and testing teams.
  • Participate in Agile development activities to ensure quality, clarity and transparency throughout the delivery.
  • Perform competitive analysis on other industry applications.
  • Analyze our current products strengths and weaknesses and make suggestions for improvements where applicable.
  • Assist with creating wireframes, prototypes and diagrams to visually illustrate user needs.
  • Work with senior team members on various acceptance testing activities.
  • Learn the basics of software development including system development Lifecyle, agile and waterfall development methodologies, and release environment management.
