We’re seeking an analytical and ambitious Business Analyst Intern to join our Business Applications Department. This is a Hybrid role, requiring office presence in San Jose, CA, and reporting to the Director, CRM & PRM Applications. The Business Analyst Intern will support strategic decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and translating complex data into actionable business requirements and insights. This role directly contributes to process optimization and the successful execution of key departmental projects, ensuring alignment between technology and business goals. You'll gain hands-on experience driving tangible improvements in efficiency and project clarity.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration/Management or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Motivated self-starter with a clear passion for innovation and technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure or experience working in a fast-paced business environment (e.g., tech, finance, or consulting).
  • Demonstrated curiosity and analytical depth: the ability to articulate complex business problems clearly and show a proactive, self-starting approach to learning.

Responsibilities

  • Business Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with key stakeholders from GTM Sales, Marketing, Partner teams to gather and analyze business requirements related to Zscaler Selling motions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring alignment.
  • Process Design: Support the process design, requirements elicitation and gathering of business systems in the area of sales, partners and marketing. Build process flows and documentation for identifying these processes.
  • Collaboration: Engage with business partners to discuss business requirements, determine feasibility, business value and a cost effective and scalable solution.
