About The Position

Maverick exists to simplify homebuilding, specializing in insurance and warranty solutions delivered through a modern MGU model. As a Business Analyst Intern, you will support the Maverick team in a variety of tasks ranging from data analysis and reporting to supporting operational and strategic initiatives. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional partners to drive efficiency, improve processes, and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date within one year of the internship
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of business concepts and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; experience with data visualization tools or SQL is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated interest in business operations and analytics with a keen willingness to learn and contribute to the team

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing business data to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Support the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis to inform business strategies and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document business requirements and translate them into actionable insights
  • Prepare presentations and summaries for leadership to aid in strategic decision-making
  • Assist in process mapping and identifying areas for operational improvement
  • Participate in special projects and perform ad-hoc analyses as required
