About The Position
The Business Analyst I supports Walker Products' product, pricing, and data initiatives by analyzing business and pricing data, building reports and dashboards, and providing insights that support informed decision-making. This role blends foundational business and data analytics with pricing analysis responsibilities and works closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT. The Business Analyst I is see as a developing analyst who is expected to grow technical skills, business knowledge, and cross-functional impact over time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or reporting (internships included)
- Experience using BI tools for data visualization and reporting
- Working knowledge of SQL; exposure to Python or similar analytics tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to pricing analysis, margin analysis, or revenue analytics
- Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic a plus)
- Familiarity with manufacturing, automotive aftermarket, or product-based environments
- Understanding of product, catalog, or master data concepts
Responsibilities
- Pricing Analysis & Support Analyze pricing data, margins, and trends to support competitive pricing strategies
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving pricing models, tools, and dashboards
- Support Sales and Marketing with pricing analysis related to discounts, promotions, and customer programs
- Monitor competitor pricing and general market conditions
- Provide data-based insights and recommendations to support pricing adjustments
- Business & Data Analysis Collect, analyze, and report business and financial data from multiple systems
- Write and maintain SQL queries and basic data transformation scripts (Python preferred)
- Use data sets to help define KPIs and generate recurring and ad-hoc reports
- Build and maintain dashboards and standard reporting tools
- Assist with basic predictive modeling and forecasting efforts
- Help maintain data frameworks, data accuracy, and reporting standards
- Support process improvement initiatives through data analysis and documentation
