About The Position

The Business Analyst I is a key contributor responsible for designing retail solution concepts, developing comprehensive documentation, and managing demo-data to support Cotiviti’s sales initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with sales, operations, and solutions teams to turn innovative ideas into data-driven, error identification models that drive results. This position is well-suited for individuals who combine strong analytical and creative abilities, are proactive in taking ownership of projects, and seek to advance their careers with a focus on technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Business Process development or retail audit operations
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); experience with SQL is a strong benefit
  • Proven capability working with and analyzing large data sets and relational databases
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with demonstrated experience developing technical documentation or client-facing materials
  • Strong interest in creating innovative solutions for retail clients
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and driven to succeed
  • Ability to translate business needs into product features.
  • Consistent and effective critical thinking skills required.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and customer orientation. Proven ability to collaborate with business partners to define needs, address issues and answer questions.

Responsibilities

  • Leveraging a deep understanding of industry practices to develop new recovery/error identification concepts and logic to identify relevant prevention opportunities for our retail clients.
  • Work closely with business partners to understand their business and how current and future systems may improve productivity and quality.
  • Conduct analysis to determine the best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, and user training.
  • Contribute creative ideas for new concepts, ideal workflows and process improvements.
  • Independently manage and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to standardize builds
  • Design, document, and maintain solution guides and documentation such as UI layouts, user guides, and supporting sales materials
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for solutions, collaborating with sales and operations teams
  • Manage demo data sets, applying technical logic to simulate error identification findings and support sales demos
  • Use your technical abilities to work with large data sets in Microsoft SQL, Access, and Excel
  • Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding logic, configurations, and content documentation
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
