About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Cerner EHR systems to support enterprise-wide healthcare IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in application support, system configuration, workflow analysis, and implementation of Cerner solutions, ensuring efficient clinical and operational processes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in healthcare IT
  • Strong experience with Cerner EHR systems (PowerChart and related modules)
  • Experience with HL7 interfaces and healthcare interoperability
  • Experience in application support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Experience with system testing, validation, and documentation
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical systems
  • Experience in reporting and data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cerner CCL (Cerner Command Language)
  • Knowledge of Cerner tools such as Bedrock, Remedy, RLN, WQM, and RRD
  • Experience with FSI (Foreign Systems Integration)
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and reporting tools
  • Experience with SharePoint and MS Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation, configuration, and optimization of Cerner EHR applications, including PowerChart
  • Perform system build activities such as PowerNote, PowerForms, PowerPlans, and Dynamic Documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to analyze current and future state workflows
  • Provide application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for complex system problems
  • Lead and participate in testing activities including test plan development, execution, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including workflows, technical specifications, and knowledge base articles
  • Create and maintain reports using Cerner tools (including CCL where applicable)
  • Support integration efforts, including HL7 interfaces and system interoperability
  • Monitor system performance, usage, and data quality; recommend improvements
  • Assist with user access, security, and system configuration management
  • Provide user training and onboarding support for new staff
  • Participate in release management, upgrades, and system enhancements
  • Ensure adherence to change management and IT governance processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
