About The Position

The Goddard School® of Shadow Creek Ranch (Pearland), TX , is currently seeking a qualified CDL Bus Driver / Handyman to help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for our students and staff. Requirements

  • Valid CDL – required
  • Experience in facility maintenance, repairs, or general handyman work
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet all state and company transportation requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Flexibility with work schedule and willingness to assist in various areas of the school

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport children to and from their designated public/private schools and The Goddard School.
  • Ensure all children are properly secured and accounted for during transportation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of school buses (fueling, cleaning, basic maintenance).
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs throughout the facility (painting, plumbing, lighting, minor carpentry, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment inside and outside the school building.
  • Assist with general upkeep, including playground maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure the facility remains in top condition.
  • Coordinate with management for larger repairs and vendor services when needed.
