About The Position

Essential Job Functions:

Bus Driving:

Safe Transportation: Drive school buses to transport students over scheduled routes and/or special excursions.
Safety and Discipline: Enforce rules, regulations, and laws to maintain safety during transport, and maintain order and discipline among passengers.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition, fuel the bus, and report mechanical malfunctions or other problems.
Route Management: Follow assigned bus routes and schedules and notify the supervisor of any necessary changes.
Communication: Communicate effectively with students and school staff.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including evacuations and administering first aid if needed.
Light Janitorial:

Cleaning: Duties include routine cleaning, mopping, sweeping, dusting and other responsibilities as needed.
Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and report larger maintenance needs.
Supplies: Maintain stock of necessary supplies.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of cleaning materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to follow instructions
• Must clear State required background check.
