About The Position

The Building Operations Mechanic/Building Maintenance Tech participates in the duties of maintaining a variety of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems for on-site buildings. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Building Operations Mechanic/Maintenance Tech Roles & Responsibilities: Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. Assists supervisors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.

Requirements

  • At Least 2-3 years experience required, 5-8 years of related work experience preferred (working in healthcare is a plus)
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Trade school or other work experience.
  • Being a Building Operations Mechanic works under moderate supervision, has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
