Jabil is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Support Technician for their plant in Auburn Hills, MI. This position is for 1st shift. How will you make an impact? As a Building Maintenance Support Technician with Jabil, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • At least 2 years of experience working in heating, cooling, HVAC, industrial electricity, sheet metal, ductwork, and refrigeration gases.
  • Rotate on Saturday every 5 weeks.
  • Willingness to work overtime on occasion.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with frequently changing priorities and interruptions.
  • Ability to work with all A/C voltages.
  • Ability to utilize advanced tools and follow procedures for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns is required.
  • Ability to read mechanical & electrical schematics, troubleshoot equipment issues is required.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine repairs on air handling and other facility systems, including repairing and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, pipes, etc.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment related problems.
  • Monitor the air handling system.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
  • Install utilities to production equipment online moves.
  • Add air ducts on manufacturing lines when required.
  • Assist Industrial Engineering and Machine Support in line configuration and equipment moves.
  • Assemble/disassemble cubicle walls and partitions.
  • Respond to requests for help from employees with Facilities-related tasks.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
