Building Maintenance Staff
About The Position
West Bay Club is seeking a Building Maintenance Staff member to perform general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation, including electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of both the interior and exterior of the facility, identifying and reporting needed supplies, and performing quality checks on various systems. The successful candidate will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to this Troon managed Club and its members. The position also includes responsibilities such as checking and responding to security and safety issues, testing new maintenance products, coordinating deliveries, keeping documentation, and potentially training junior staff.
Requirements
- Associates degree or two years of related experience associated with Building maintenance.
- Possesses knowledge in operating electrical, plumbing, HVAC and pool equipment.
- Experience with commercial/building painting.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Responsibilities
- Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds.
- Maintains cleanliness and appearance of exterior of the facility including but not limited to emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and arranging outdoor furniture.
- Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility including but not limited to emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture.
- Identifies and reports needed supplies to supervisor.
- Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Checking and responding to security and safety issues.
- Testing and recommending new maintenance products.
- Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers.
- Keeping documents of inspections and problems.
- Doing landscaping, pool maintenance and pest control.
- Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies.
- Training junior staff, if applicable.
- Performs other duties as required.
