What You’ll Do: As a building substitute, you will perform related duties in the absence of the classroom teacher to provide continuity in the day-to-day responsibilities by implementing the teacher’s prepared lesson plans. This building substitute position provides additional coverage for short meetings including lesson debriefs and planning as part of Salem Public Schools' implementation of the PRISM early literacy grant. Salem Public Schools Building Based Substitutes work a 185-day school year (180 student contact days plus 5 professional development days). Compensation is determined by the Paraprofessional and School Related Personnel (PSRP) collective bargaining agreement . This is a Tier 1 position.
