What You’ll Do: This position will provide critical coverage to literacy classrooms in elementary schools throughout the district for short and long term absences of classroom teachers for the duration of the 25-26 school year. This role will be responsible for providing literacy instruction to students using the school’s identified curriculum, collaborating with other staff, and grading as appropriate for the coverage. Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom culture. Establish and maintain effective classroom management to maximize student time on task and foster a productive learning atmosphere. Collaborate regularly with grade-level team members to align literacy instruction across the curriculum, share best practices, and analyze student data. Actively participate in professional learning opportunities focused on current trends and evidence-based practices in elementary literacy education.
