POSITION PURPOSE Provide direct and general supervision to the Environmental Services team in order to ensure effective and efficient environmental services while supporting Horseshoe St. Louis' vision, mission and values. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.) 1. Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members. 2. Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective supervision of department; adjust daily schedule according to business levels. 3. Supervise cleaning and inspection of, buildings and structures. 4. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations, as well as state, local, and federal ordinance. 5. Assist in the development and implementation of programs, processes and procedures to reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity and efficiency. 6. Ensure facility is clean are maintained in a clean and safe operating order by providing environmental services. 7. Perform other duties as assigned by management. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated environmental services or housekeeping supervisor experience Strong customer service skills and organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-up Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and prioritize a heavy workload with competing priorities Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts. Excellent guest service and communication skills. Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Regular and punctual attendance is required. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in environmental services or housekeeping, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
