About The Position

The Buildings and Ground Mechanics are responsible for performing repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, building and/or facilities. Employee Type: Full time Location: PA North East Job Type: Production Group Job Posting Title: Building and Grounds Mechanic Job Description: Responsibilities and Expectations: Works in partnership with Maintenance leadership and Production leadership to perform basic maintenance and repairs on Boilers, fire suppression equipment, air compressors, tank farm and rail spur, operating the skid steer, cooling towers, production support equipment, painting, water/air/steam pipes, tank farm/rail spur, carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting, electrical systems and other related plant systems Assist in the installation of equipment Maintain the exterior of the property Correctly enters time on work orders for 80% of Kronos time Orders parts for rebuilds and corrective maintenance activities Provides routine inspections and monitoring of all equipment Ensure all equipment documentation is up to date and accurate Performs data entry into Computer Maintenance Management Systems Prepares unscheduled work orders to support production requirements Remains current in training expectations Keeps work environment clean and safe Performs millwright activities such as cutting, grinding, welding, and other fabrication techniques Able to follow directions for basic assembly and repair of equipment. Works with other maintenance mechanics on projects and rebuilds Complete paperwork, check lists, work orders, and other documentation At end of shift, secures all equipment, performs general housekeeping duties and completes and maintains work records on CMMS Provides feedback to Maintenance Planner and/or Supervisors and Management on the effectiveness of Preventive Maintenance Work Orders to continually improve maintenance program Able to identify parts for corrective maintenance activities and assist in quoting process Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds and Demonstrates excellent communications skills; listens to other ideas and suggestions Works with honesty and integrity; upholds organizational values Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic Follows all safety policies and practices; proactively identifies safety hazards and risks Follows all GMP and Food Safety Rules and Regulations All other duties as assigned
