About The Position

As a Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician, you will perform light building repairs and upkeep in the production and administrative areas of our food manufacturing facility. This will include preparation and painting of various surfaces, minor mechanical repairs and installations, and assistance to other areas of the maintenance department as needed. You will also perform sanitation duties, snow removal, and deep cleaning as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 1+ years’ facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, military, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair drywall, concrete, brick, and block surfaces.
• Install carpet, floor and ceiling tiles, bulletin boards, and other items.
• Perform facility maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, waste disposal, snow removal, and more.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces including walls, pipes, line painting, striping, and stenciling.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and cleaning equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and other job-related equipment.
• Assist the Maintenance Department with tasks such as sanitation, fire watch, confined space entry, etc.
• Prepare, transport, and stage chemicals for sanitation.
