Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team in a forward-looking control role focused on managing and enforcing IP matter budget compliance. This is not a traditional billing or invoicing position—it’s a strategic role designed to centralize intake and compliance processes as we scale.
Requirements
- Comfortable enforcing rules and SOPs
- Confident escalating issues without hesitation
- Not conflict-avoidant or overly deferential
- Able to work independently with clear weekly processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in finance, billing or supervisory roles
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and enforcing time entry compliance
- Ongoing tracking of IP matter budgets
- Entry and validation of fixed-fee and capped-fee budgets
- Intake of new Intellectual Property matters from a billing and budget perspective
- Escalating budget and compliance risks early and consistently
