Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing reinsurance clients, developing strategies and goals for the development and management of these accounts.
  • Understands client's business and their reinsurance needs and applies knowledge of risks and the reinsurance market to find and arrange suitable reinsurance coverage and policies.
  • Acts in the interest of the clients and offer products from more than one reinsurer to secure the optimal reinsurance solution.
  • Identifies revenue opportunities among new and existing clients by creating demand and awareness of the organization's products.
  • Achieves revenue targets through client retention and increasing new business.
  • Applies practical knowledge of sub-function area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • May require the following proficiencies: Working independently with general supervision; Facing function related problems that are difficult but typically not complex; Potentially influencing others within the function through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within sub-function with direct impact on department results.
  • Works independently on larger, moderately complex/technical function projects/ assignments.
  • Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
  • May train new team members.
  • Responsible for adjusting or recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of function.
  • Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of business issues but typically are not complex.
  • Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
  • Typically follows prescribed guidelines or procedures to resolve problems.
  • Has working knowledge of basic concepts and procedures.
  • Works under supervision and direction from more senior level roles.
