A Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician I, II, or III: Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference. Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years (telecom technician)
Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.
