A Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician I: Work involves hands-on support of physical broadband cable infrastructure Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in the outside cable plant Emergency coax and fiber restoration Underground and aerial cable troubleshooting System Maintenance of fiber nodes, amplifiers and system power supplies Signal Leakage of coaxial system including drop to residences Coaxial Splicing 95% of day is working aloft in bucket truck Working outside year-round, all types of elements Documentation Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation Other duties as assigned
