The Breast Imaging Center Patient Navigator's primary function is guiding high risk breast clinic patients through the healthcare system by identifying those in need of further diagnostic imaging such as six month follow up mammograms/Ultrasounds as well as screening and diagnostic Breast MRI's, and or pre Genetic counseling & testing as well as breast biopsies. They will also be helping in assisting the Breast Radiologist in delivering biopsy results. This Navigator will help the Breast Radiologist in developing relationships with service providers, and tracking interventions and outcomes from the high risk breast clinic and other activities. The Navigator can also connect patients and or families to resources like No Woman Left Behind Program as well as any social services programs or community support groups for any breast patients in need.
