About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Brand to own and shape how Kastle is understood by the market—customers, partners, analysts, media, and employees alike. This is a senior, strategic role responsible for defining Kastle’s category narrative, unifying its brand across all touchpoints, and ensuring that our story clearly communicates why Kastle wins in a converging market of physical access, security, and managed services. This role will lead brand strategy—not just brand execution—and will be central to Kastle’s long-term category leadership ambitions.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years in brand strategy, narrative development, or strategic marketing roles
  • Proven experience leading brand positioning or category narrative initiatives
  • Strong executive-level writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience partnering with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, PR, and Sales
  • Ability to translate technical or operational offerings into customer-centric value
  • Track record of leading large, visible launches or rebrands
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, proptech, infrastructure, or services
  • A strong POV on category creation and narrative differentiation
  • The ability to influence without authority and partner deeply across teams
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity while building clarity for others

Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Narrative Leadership
  • Define and own Kastle’s brand narrative, positioning, and category POV, with a particular focus on redefining Managed Services for the modern workplace and commercial real estate market.
  • Develop and maintain the Kastle messaging architecture (value pillars, proof points, personas, competitive framing).
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of brand expression across all channels: website, campaigns, sales materials, PR, events, and executive communications
  • Ensure consistent voice, tone, and positioning across all channels
  • Category Creation & Thought Leadership
  • Lead Kastle’s category creation strategy, including thought leadership, proprietary research, and industry POVs.
  • Own the editorial strategy for flagship content (e.g., the Kastle Barometer, benchmark reports, keynote narratives, executive bylines).
  • Identify opportunities for Kastle to shape market language, influence buyer criteria, and lead industry conversations.
  • Serve as the steward of Kastle’s long-term brand equity and differentiation.
  • Communications, PR & Analyst Alignment
  • Partner closely with Analyst Relations and PR Agency to ensure Kastle’s narrative is reflected accurately and consistently in:
  • Analyst briefings and reports
  • Press coverage and media interviews
  • Industry events and speaking opportunities
  • Develop briefing materials, executive talking points, and narrative frameworks for the CEO and leadership team.
  • Owner of the Kastle Barometer. Helping to keep it top of mind for earned media opportunities
  • Ensure proactive storytelling rather than reactive communications.
  • Brand Activation & Campaign Leadership
  • Lead narrative development for major company moments, including:
  • National brand and messaging relaunches
  • Market expansions and flagship events
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation and Events teams to ensure campaigns are rooted in a cohesive story—not disconnected tactics.
  • Own brand guardrails while enabling creative expression and innovation.
