About The Position

We're looking for a Brand Design Lead to own how Vori shows up in the world—from storytelling that paints a picture of the grocery of the future to marketing that supports our go-to-market efforts. You'll be the founding member of our Storytelling Team, which will grow to include filmmakers, copywriters, and other creatives focused on evangelizing the brand and expressing the intimate stories of our customers who engage at the grocery store every day. As our brand lead, you'll be the creative throughline across go-to-market, design, and product. You'll shape strategy, set the bar for craft, and build systems that scale as we grow from early-stage startup to category leader. Working directly with founders and the Head of Design, you'll translate complex grocery operations into compelling brand experiences. We need an experienced designer capable of driving brand across multiple mediums: digital presence, environmental branding at conferences, physical marketing, service design touchpoints in our product experience, and merch the team will clamor for. This role is based in San Francisco, with a hybrid office culture (1-2 days per week). This role reports to the Head of Design. Requirements

  • Portfolio showing brand systems, marketing design, and storytelling across multiple mediums
  • 6+ years building brands, ideally in-house at a scaling tech company (Series A → C)
  • Experience scaling an early brand to hundreds of thousands of customers
  • Understanding of B2B/enterprise marketing

Nice To Haves

  • Motion design, video editing, or art direction experience
  • Passionate about prototyping or building with AI tools
  • Background in media, publications, or content studios
  • Experience with retail, supply chain, logistics, or physical products

Responsibilities

  • Own Vori's brand identity
  • Define and evolve our visual identity as we scale nationwide and beyond
  • Partner with growth and product marketing to design scalable brand systems
  • Set the craft bar and ensure brand thinking and strategy informs product, GTM, and operations
  • Design everything from case studies to sales collateral, to branding moments at events.
  • Set creative direction for video, photography, and content that captures customer stories
  • Help recruit and collaborate with filmmakers, copywriters, and storytellers
  • Translate "grocery-speak" into compelling narratives for different audiences
