About The Position

At Real Chemistry, we are dedicated to transforming healthcare through a unique blend of deep scientific expertise, human-centered creativity, and AI-driven insights. As a global agency, we offer a full suite of healthcare communications and marketing services to leading pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Our #LifeatRealChem culture fosters innovation and impact, valuing collaboration and excellence. We are seeking a Brand Analyst to join our Analytics x Strategy Rotation, an 18-month immersive development program. This program is designed for analytically-grounded brand strategists aiming to become next-generation professionals in healthcare advertising and commercial strategy. The role is situated within Real Chemistry’s Analytics and Insights team, working in close partnership with 21GRAMS, our audience-driven advertising and creative agency. The program is structured to develop talent capable of fluently navigating AI-enabled research, real-world healthcare data, and high-impact brand and marketing strategy. This is not a tools-only analytics role or a traditional strategy apprenticeship, but a deliberate pathway to becoming a strategist who understands healthcare markets, customers, and competition through data, and can translate that understanding into strategic direction for brand creative and commercial teams. Upon successful completion of the rotation, candidates are positioned to transition into a full-time strategy role within 21GRAMS. This is a hybrid role, based in one of our US offices (New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or Lambertville) or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

Requirements

  • Hands-on exposure to real-world data sources such as claims, prescription data, or similar commercial healthcare datasets.
  • Experience conducting market understanding and competitive analysis to inform marketing or commercial decisions.
  • Comfort working across multiple data types rather than relying on a single analytic approach.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain data-driven insights clearly.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership over work.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an agency or consulting environment supporting healthcare or life sciences clients.
  • Exposure to brand strategy, marketing strategy, or commercial planning workstreams.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including strategists, creatives, and account partners.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience using AI-enabled tools for research, analysis, synthesis, or insight development.
  • Familiarity with prompt-driven workflows and iterative experimentation.
  • Exposure to lightweight coding, scripting, low-code tools, or modern analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Strong judgment around when AI accelerates thinking and when human reasoning is essential, particularly in healthcare contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to analytics and research workstreams that support healthcare advertising and commercial strategy engagements at 21GRAMS.
  • Conduct market understanding and competitive analysis across patient and HCP behavior data, secondary research, real-world healthcare data sources, including medical and pharmacy claims, prescription data, and qualitative inputs.
  • Integrate multiple data types and methodologies to answer commercial and brand strategy questions related to market dynamics, customer behavior, positioning, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop research approaches, hypotheses, KPIs, and analytic plans in collaboration with senior Analytics and Insights leaders.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and pattern recognition while applying strong judgment to validate findings and separate signal from noise.
  • Produce insight-led outputs that translate data and analysis into clear implications for marketing and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner closely with 21GRAMS strategists to transform research and data into brand-relevant insights, strategic narratives, and recommendations.
  • Support strategy deliverables such as competitive landscapes, audience and customer journeys, opportunity assessments, and brand positioning frameworks, grounded in data and market realities.
  • Contribute to strategic presentations and decks, including key findings, implications, and executive-ready summaries.
  • Build fluency in how analytics informs brand strategy, creative direction, and go-to-market thinking for healthcare clients.
  • Develop and sharpen storytelling skills to turn insights into compelling decks that sell ideas and strategies.
  • Work comfortably in AI-enabled research and analytics environments.
  • Demonstrate hands-on familiarity with prompt-based workflows, rapid insight generation, and iterative exploration using large language models and adjacent tools.
  • Apply emerging approaches such as lightweight coding, scripting, low-code or vibe-coding environments for analysis, synthesis, or prototyping where appropriate.
  • Exercise strong critical thinking and ethical judgment in the application of AI, understanding both its capabilities and limitations in healthcare contexts.
  • Take ownership of defined workstreams and analysis components, with accountability for quality, clarity, and rigor.
  • Proactively manage your work, asking the right questions, flagging risks, and knowing when to seek senior input.
  • Build credibility with analytics, strategy, and account partners through consistent delivery of thoughtful, high-quality work.
  • Contribute to team learning and knowledge sharing as your expertise grows.
