About The Position

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos, Airheads, Dentyne, Trident and Bubblicious!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Sr. Brand Financial Analyst to join our growing team. The Sr. Brand Financial Analyst position serves as the primary contact for Financial Reporting, Planning, Analysis and Training on financial processes for all Marketing areas of Innovation, Brand Performance and Advertising spend. The Sr. Brand Financial Analyst role provides analysis of top and bottom-line health of the business to help provide strategic business decisions, including analysis of product to be sold, assessing new product ideas, savings projects and managing the existing product portfolio. This role works closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain, always looking for opportunities to continually improve financial planning processes and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Finance experience. Manufacturing and/or CPG experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in predicative modeling of sales and profit performance to provide management and brand team insights.
  • Experience developing and managing COGS and P&L's including margin analysis to validate accuracy across brands and products, Trade and Advertising spend analysis to indicate drivers of spending changes and management to budgets.
  • Experience with volume and sales forecasting, forecast management and presentation of analysis.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong process orientation and focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal and presentation – with the ability to discuss business issues and action plans in a simple, easy to understand manner.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, building and maintaining cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting Brand financial results on monthly basis and leading sales planning to deliver short- and long-term goals.
  • Ongoing analysis of product portfolio to drive profitable growth, including in-marketing Pricing analysis to prepare for future pricing changes.
  • Ongoing S&OP development and ad-hoc analysis to help management with strategic business decisions.
  • Lead New Item analysis including sku P&Ls, cost analysis and portfolio/customer fit.
  • Lead monthly review of COGS and Variable Sales Expenses, partnering with Supply Chain Finance to understand key drivers and variances.
  • Serve as finance SME for commercial write-offs, including monitoring, analysis, and cross-functional partnership to reduce risk.
