About The Position

The Boston Beer Company is hiring a full-time, temporary Brand Activation Representative in State College, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate must reside in or around the State College area, as this field-based sales position requires visiting accounts within the territory. The Brand Activation Representative (BAR) is responsible for increasing the availability and visibility of specific Boston Beer brands at retail locations to drive depletion growth and support the local sales team, thereby adding value to wholesaler and retailer partners.

Requirements

  • 1+ years sales and/or food/beverage industry experience
  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently

Responsibilities

  • Execute internal sales objectives & improve account conditions using BBC systems and selling process
  • Learn and be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and BBC product styles
  • Execute impactful promotions for accounts in the On Premise (bars/restaurants) & Off Premise (grocery & liquor stores), sampling events, and festivals
  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers and displaying point of sale items to increase visibility of our brands
  • Conduct waitstaff & bartender education sessions to drive brand awareness and volume in accounts
  • Farm existing business in top on & off premise accounts to grow depletions
  • Build strong relationships with wholesalers and retailers
