About The Position

The Branch Lead’s responsibilities include the service and activities of the entire branch to ensure an exceptional service standard while minimizing fraud and losses. Additional responsibilities include achieving a high level of production for themselves and the team, while maintaining high team morale.

Requirements

  • Three years of direct Credit Union/Banking or retail experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Possess the desire to accept additional responsibilities within branch operations.
  • Possess well-developed communication skills using tact and persuasiveness to reach an objective and maintain goodwill.
  • Possess a highly positive, member-service oriented attitude and the ability to anticipate member needs and initiate assistance beyond duties assigned.
  • Must possess professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and procedural expertise in credit union products, services, and promotions.
  • Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand.
  • May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
  • Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Required to complete annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
  • Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and standards of performance.
  • Assist with teller operational functions such as ATM, Vault, cashboxes, logs, and teller audits.
  • Must be flexible and able to successfully perform all duties and responsibilities for any position in the branch.
  • Process and submit monthly end of month reports.
  • First point of contact for member concerns/issues. Preserve member relationships by providing prompt solutions.
  • Accept responsibilities of the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager that includes member satisfaction, teamwork, maintaining accountability for the branch and compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in obtaining operational goals for the branch.
  • Promote teamwork among branch staff and internal members and departments.
  • Provides guidance and training to branch personnel on operating problems, exceptions, and adjustments.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include opening and closing the branch, occasional evenings, and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of member information.
  • All member and Credit Union information must be kept secure at all times.
  • Cross-sell Credit Union products and services based on member needs.
  • Interview, originate, and processes all member loan applications:
  • Provide member appropriate follow up of their application as well as the final loan decision.
  • Must take the initiative to assist with problem solving, troubleshooting and to provide support in all areas of the branch, as needed.
  • Meet/exceed personal and branch goals.
  • Assist the team with daily responsibilities as needed, included but not limited to:
  • Following opening and closing procedures.
  • Daily balancing of the coin machine, vault, ATM, and card machine; closing SDB vault.
  • Wiling to assist the team at other branch locations, if needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
