Website www.flatirons.bank Contact [email protected] ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Branch Team Lead plays a key role in supporting branch performance, client experience, and team effectiveness. This individual serves as a senior, trusted resource within the branch; providing guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to team members while partnering closely with the Market Manager on overall branch success. The Branch Team Lead acts as the first point of contact for questions, problem-solving, and operational support. This position will support both branches, primarily focusing on the Boulder location based on staffing and business needs and is expected to help maintain strong service standards, operational consistency, and team collaboration across locations. The Branch Team Lead functions as the primary authority in the Market Manager’s absence and is empowered to make decisions that impact branch efficiency and client outcomes. The specific responsibilities are further outlined below:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail or commercial banking.
  • Prior senior banker or lead-level experience preferred.
  • Active NMLS registration required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in consumer and business lending.
  • Deep knowledge of deposit products, treasury services, and financial regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a client portfolio.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms, loan origination systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Client-focused with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Strong team collaborator who can work independently when needed

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a go-to resource for branch staff, providing guidance, support, and real-time problem solving.
  • Leads by example in professionalism, client service, and adherence to Bank standards.
  • Working alongside the Market Manager, provides ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to branch staff to ensure consistent execution of services standards.
  • Supports onboarding and informal training of new team members.
  • Schedules and coordinates coverage for the branches, as needed.
  • Assists with daily workflow coordination and ensures smooth handoffs between tellers, new accounts, and operations.
  • Escalates staffing, performance, or conduct issues to the Market Manager as appropriate.
  • Reinforces accountability, consistency, and a positive team culture without formal supervisory authority.
  • Ensures a high-quality, consistent client experience across all interactions.
  • Models effective discovery, cross-selling, and relationship-building behaviors.
  • Supports team members with complex client needs and service escalations.
  • Maintains a small book of business and serves as a trusted advisor to key clients.
  • Reinforces referral best practices and client follow-through.
  • Partners with the Market Manager to develop and implement client-experience initiatives and service-delivery improvements.
  • Represent Flatirons Bank at local networking events, community meetings, and business development forums.
  • Actively engage in client outreach outside of the bank to raise brand awareness and build community trust.
  • Partner with local business organizations and nonprofit groups to identify and support shared goals.
  • Promote the Flatirons Bank brand as a trusted local banking resource.
  • Provides advanced support across teller, new accounts, and operational functions.
  • Ensures policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently followed.
  • Supports audits, internal controls, and risk management efforts.
  • Identifies and helps implement process improvements.
  • Assists with complex documentation, reconciliations, and exception resolution.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for operational questions before escalating to management.
